Loading ...“Emergency light might have helped”. People are mezmerized stupid in their cars. I saw the New Jersey Turnpike in the 70s had large, programmable neon signs on overpasses that could be turned on and programmed by troopers from their cars. The signs could reduce speed limits, warn of Fog, Rain, accidents, traffic stoppages, etc. So the fog rolls in, speed limits reduced, and people ignore the signs and plow into an accident at 70mph. Even with the ‘Accident Ahead’ sign flashing… the pileup continues for miles as people ignore the warnings. Unbelievable herd stupidity. I’ve seen it.
