Cap’n, Harappa and Mohenjo-daro.

Two ancient cities in Pakistan, populations about 30,000 and 40,000 respectively. Huge cities for the time, with running water, bathrooms, sewers; the pinnacle of complexity. Much trade. And that’s about all we know. 3,700 years ago they just … stopped.

Today we see that

Not sure that “modern” is a word I would use to describe Kabul though. Sounds like Harrapa had the edge.
