Long, long gone are the days when everything the BBC presented could be trusted. Robert Dougall, Angela Rippon, Raymond Baxter – and the documentaries like Horizon used to be, science clearly explained and reported on without agendas. I’m not saying they were perfect but the layer of integrity was there, and much thicker than just a veneer. Now there is not even any pretence, it’s just “believe what we say or be a conspiracy theorist”. The NGOs won at the Beeb long ago.
But then the whole of England, Great Britain, the United Kingdom is stuffed. How much of the decline can be placed at the door of the BBC due to their misreporting on issues like climate change, immigration, covid, Pakistani grooming gangs etc?
