Iron ore not trading yet.

Lol, 4.1bn tonnes of iron ore! You don’t take over a country for a pit full of rust.

Get a grip. BHP alone has 11.7bn tonnes in Western Australia alone.

Another scam

Is claiming they’re from a reputable site and are not. In California illegals would stand around stores pretending theyre taking donations but they’re scammers and druggies like the somalis. They can be online too.

Never give money for famine relief.

Posted by ferrett @ 18:32 on January 4, 2026

We’re being bombarded with “Save the Children” ads for Yemen famine relief. Here is what wikipedia lists as the cause of the famine:

  • Causes: Yemeni civil war (2014–present), Saudi Arabian–led intervention in Yemen, Blockade of Yemen[6], Cultivation and consumption of khat[7], Devastation of Yemeni infrastructure by the Saudi-led coalition bombing, Confiscation of food by Houthi rebels.

Note how “shortage of food” isn’t mentioned. Confiscation of food by Houthi rebels – well that’s OK then, because they will obviously let convoys of rice etc. through to the starving children. Devastation of infrastructure – no problem there either, Save the Children is well known for having fleets of Chinooks in Yemen ready to deliver. Growing drugs – obviously they must have plenty of food anyway, if they can grow mild stimulants.

This plays out everywhere there is a ‘famine’. The only real famine is the lack of political will do do anything, or much more frequently the political will is actually aimed at blocking food to various groups (tribal, again, including Gaza).

If 10% of what you give ever gets through to the kids you intended it for, it’d be a miracle, in every sense of the word. But if you want to keep feeding Houthi rebels, Yemeni govt officials and Save the Children staff, go ahead.

Hopefully the watch sites can help. I didn’t like Unicef  liberal ties but are subject to push backs but there was a immediate need in Gaza and not concentrated to one area.

Family first, community second including veterans, then whatever including animals and wildlife. You can contact local groups and churches that could use donations in your community. Even schools for children that could use help with warm coats, shoes or decent clothes passed down too. Same for churches including food or holiday gifts to children right in your own back yard.

That’s what  I wondered when Trump stated they will take over the oil to rebuild the country it would be pretty likely  they would cut off adversaries. Likely China doesn’t run .most of it’s ships,  military vehicles on solar or electric either. But only 4-5 percent? I have heard that since Madero, oil  production in Venezuela has gone down so perhaps they have a higher potential. Madero cannibalized Venezuela citizens resources for himself and benefits of other countries. They need a lot of affordable basic supplies, affordable food and medicine.

Bob, we’re paying the fees to put some Ugandans through higher education.

Posted by ferrett @ 16:52 on January 4, 2026

They are linked to the charity that our son was working for, we pay the fees and 5% to the charity which does all the facilitation, arranging interviews, accomodation in other cities, laptops etc. We don’t sponsor lawyers, social workers or other bottom feeders, only occupations that will be useful to the population at large.

I would love to contribute to charities that support a cause I believe in but haven’t found any. Literally. Every charity i check out is a scam at some level, I’ve given up.

Whenever I’m dunned for a contribution I retort: “family is my charity of choice and I donate every single day”

I don’t think it’s anything to do with the oil, either.

Posted by ferrett @ 16:14 on January 4, 2026

I’m totally opposed to Trump intevening in Venezuela’s internal affairs. They need to sort their own sh!t out, or how will they grow as a nation? Nobody knows how much oil they’ve got anyway, their reserves figures are all made up.

Except. China was clearly building a strong relationship with Maduro. Buying much oil, and using that oil to prop up Cuba. Maduro appears to have been facilitating narcotic supplies to the US, which is an infringement on US sovereignty by another country (on the basis that Maduro, as dictator, is Venezuela). And China is definitely more likely to be helping that than otherwise. So China is already interfering in Venezuelan affairs, propping up a regime actively opposed to America – so Trump had no choice. China is already stopping Venezuelans form sorting themselves out, and with improvements in missile technology having a communist military base in Venezuela now would be the same as one in Cuba 65 years ago (my word, I feel old typing that!).

Good find aufever.

Unfortunately that is not an uncommon scenario amongst charities or not-for-profits. Definitely the worst, but after our experience with Compassion, a ‘charity’ ostensibly dedicated to helping poor children around the world, a situation repeated many times over.

“only 20% of funds collected goes on administration” says Compassion Australia. What they don’t say is that it is Compassion Australia that takes 20%, all money collected goes to Compassion in the US who take another 20%, and the money that goes to Uganda (where our child was) has another 17% creamed off by the local admin. So only 53 cents of my dollar gets to the programme. Which was fake. Instead of helping a poor, starving child at a centre where he was learning to read and going to church yadayadayada the money went to a woman running a successful timber business living in the best house in the village, solid brick rendered, tin roof, floors, electricity and water connected (“Steven carries water for his mother every day and loves learning his Bible verses at Sunday School. He is learning English.” according to the annual letters), nice furniture, TV, wine glasses, patio …..  and the poor kid is a retard. His English is limited to “Wot?” and “Liverpool.” He only goes to the centre for the free food. He’s never been to church or Sunday School because he is a Muslim and goes to the Mosque. Our son found all this out when he visited the kid whilst he was in Uganda. After many conversations with Compassion, during which they just dug themselves deeper into the hole, they refunded all our contributions. Which doesn’t alter the fact that they are scammers, albeit on a smaller scale than the Somalis. Uh, actually, I’m not so sure. I’ve just checked their financials, and in 2024 their income was $1.33billion.

Always check a charity’s financials. How much goes on admin, salaries etc before it gets to the program? 40% is not uncommon. Trust no-one without very good reason. Sad.

Minnesota (off topic of PM)

Posted by aufever @ 14:42 on January 4, 2026

This video is about a major operation in Minn to take down an extensive network of corruption, also with connections to other states. It is only 2 days old, but this operation must have taken place some time ago, and may be the source of the arrests Bondi has been talking about. So, something has been done. It was so vast new details keep emerging.

Excellent point!
China gets 4-5% of their oil from Venezuela.
The timing of the invasion is very interesting. It was no doubt planned for months, but so was China’s implementation of silver export restrictions.
There are probably other factors at play on this geopolitical chessboard, but this could be one piece of the puzzle.

Why Are Deepfakes Taking Over YouTube?

Deepfakes are taking over YouTube to the point where real news by real people is drowning in an ocean of illusion.

In a recent post I mentioned we are living in times of unprecedented change where everything that is not true is being exposed.  While the post was about the divergence of paper and physical silver prices, the key message I wanted to get across is that this is taking place everywhere and in every aspect of life from international affairs to the daily shopping.

Screen shot of a YouTube video purporting to be from Yanis Varoufakis with the caption reading: Deepfake or Real?
Deepfake or real?

Yanis Varoufakis, former Greek finance minister, is one of the most AI impersonated people.  A recent interview reported that only one in five videos are actually Yanis himself.

Why is this happening?

Maintaining the Illusion serves the vested interests of elites.  Many do not wish men and women to experience an awakening as the lies fade.  Deepfake represents one strategy being employed to mask this transformation in human consciousness.  As people are increasingly distrustful of traditional authority, drowning genuine content with garbage keeps the real world hidden from view.

Yanis has complained to YouTube and Meta, but within seconds of a video being taken down another appears with the same content.  The companies appear to have no interest in stemming the flood.

Interestingly the strategy may backfire.  With so many AI generated deep fakes YouTube is becoming unusable.  It may be the platform is actually self-destructing.  Men and women may simply stop using it.

This is ironic given Google’s founding vision is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.  By deliberately flooding its content with deepfake the company may not only be committing suicide but taking a leading role in waking us from our stupor.

Re AG man and the 837 tonne do you ever stop and think, before you post such bollox…..no way is that the reason….. that is less than $ 2 billion, even at current prices……Now if yr talking Oil, then that is a different story….I hear 90 % of Venezualan Oil goes to China and u can probably be sure, they ain’t paying the full price…so Xi is not going to be a happy camper….and he controls 70 % plus of world wide silver refining and now has new export controls.

Please…… just sit back for a moment and think.
