The deficit this year is closer to $2.5tn with additional Defence and Interest costs alone, without taking the expenditures of the big beautiful bill into account. How will you make up this difference?
You already have a $2.5tn deficit. You are now proposing to almost double that deficit by removing income tax. You have already committed tariff revenue to paying down the national debt of $39tn, which means your beloved tariff revenue must exceed $4.5tn per year to be able to eliminate income tax, eliminate the annual deficit and have some left over for the national debt.
