If Zelensky was a statesman maybe he could ignore the EU and make peace somewhat along the lines of the American proposal. That’s unlikely I think. Perhaps some other Ukrainian will be the one to sign it.

Nowhere do they say what the arrangements are. It’s just a prelude to years of bureaucratic discussion while the slaughter continues. A deliberate non-peace plan, a plan for war. And that’s without getting to all the points which are non-starters from Russia’s POV.
The US proposals, by contrast, are much more specific.

So far, this seems to be the European response to the peace plan that has been proposed.
Europeans like Starmer (UK), Macron (France), Merz (Germany) are willing to sacrifice every last Ukrainian white male for the cause.
Then they will accept a worse deal next year.
