Loading ...Wow, that’s a powerful painting! The use of light, the only crystal clear image being of the stack as it burns its way through the misty rain, the raw power of the epitome of technology … anyone would think it could be a Turner.
I like Turner. And Brunel.
p.s. the viaduct is still the main line of the Western railway, widened now to four tracks. Nobody believed it could be safe because the arches are so flat. It remains the flattest arch bridge ever built, 188 years old.
