At least by staying at the table the US has some influence.
Kiev knows that half way on territory is unacceptable to the Russians. That would just be showing weakness. Trump/Rubio need to hit them over the head with a large club to force them to understand that such weakness will in fact be gain. The longer they remain stubbornly ‘strong’, the more territory they will lose.

🚨Update: US – Ukrainian peace talks are going badly, with Rubio trying to convince Kiev to accept some of Russia’s terms, or at least meet them halfway! Kiev says NO.
Russia is NOT even involved in the negotiations and has already flatly refused Ukraine’s ‘peace plan: basically a permanent ceasefire that allows Ukraine to rearm and relaunch the war later. I love that Trump and Rubio are trying, but negotiations are effectively DEAD! The War Will Continue Well Into 2026!

There will always be funds and individuals that will hold them expecting to reap the gains in US Dollars. Hard to know what we will cash in our physical metals for when we’re ready. Will it be for dollars? a new currency? Barter? Trade for other hard assets like real estate?

Looked at the charts of GLD, SLV and some of the shares. Works of perfection, begging to be bought.
SLV is of course leading the move. If gold is to follow suit, we should see some big moves up next week. Same with the shares I looked at.
I guess it’s possible that we don’t get huge moves up in gold because silver is correcting the ratio and playing catch-up for years of underperformance. However, gold should still march higher regardless, if not with a huge move, with the 1-2% up moves we usually see. Going into year end with the stock market strong, I don’t see a whole lot of downside risk. They might play the usual games at the Fed meeting Dec. 11th, but the bulls should be in full control and new highs coming across the sector.
My opinion is worth the price of the next guy’s backside, but I’m still entitled to it.
BTW, GSR is now 75. Is it out of the question to think it gets to 50? If so, that’s a long way up for silver.
When I was looking into Tether, well just reading their web site…..I saw that you get 1 for 1 with dollars…..no mention of any yield .then a quick check and find out it is earning billions pa…..
So it seems just because it is called crypto, people are prepared to deposit/lend dollars/cash, and earn zilch……go figure. Wheras the Gold coin is backed 1 for 1 and as gold pays no interest, u don’t suffer….but do gain/loose in price movement….

Actually, having gone through this, why would you own Tether at all? It’s not an investment if it’s only ever worth $1. It says makes large profits, but nowhere can I find who owns iFinex, the parent company of TI. Who is benefitting from these billions of dollars?
Curiously El Salvador used to tax companies at 30% on global income. Since TI moved there, it only taxes companies on local profits (presumably there aren’t many El Salvadorian companies making much money outside the country), but as TI is based in ES, and makes its money from trading USTs, Bitcoin, Gold etc., all that would be local income?
So Tether appears to be a company, based in El Salvador, having its accounts assured by Italians, owned by a BVI company whose owners are unknown, making unverifiable billions of profits with unverifiable hundreds of billions of assets. And that’s without going down the rabbit holes of money laundering and other dubious activities that litter the internet.
I for one, recognize all the time, effort, and dedication you have invested in this site to keep it purring along….and over the past many years we have lost too many members who took that “elevator to a better place”….and are now watching as we play out our own game we call life.
