Can’t find anything new, since the 6th, except the zerohedge article Maddog posted. Nothing new on the legal front.
From google AI:
August 2025: A summary judgment timetable was set by the court, requiring plaintiffs (Northern Dynasty, the State of Alaska, and others) to file their opening briefs by October 3, 2025, and the DOJ to file its response by January 2, 2026.
Late July 2025: Negotiations for a potential settlement between the EPA and Northern Dynasty broke down without a resolution.
Late July 2025: The DOJ requested a delay, citing the departure of two key attorneys from the Environment and Natural Resources Division and the need for newly assigned counsel to get up to speed.
Early October 2025: With a government shutdown underway, the DOJ filed another request to stay the case.
October 6, 2025: Northern Dynasty announced it would object to the stay request, stating it was eager to proceed with the case and adhere to the original briefing schedule.
GoldenAge, yes, rhenium is a ‘rare earth mineral’, and is included in Northern Dynasty plans.
I gave Apmex another chance cuz I think it was the mauls fault but did find out if something missing the initial person on the phone will try to change the subject although too late to do anything about the missing gold coins a free gold back they sent inabout securing packages better still will play dumb, a he. My order was delayed going on two weeks. I wanted to try out 5 ounce silver with the eagles design and newer eagle on the back. I figured they would be easier to stack instead of the one ounces. I was surprised. There nice new coins but wasn’t expecting the super sized, theyre as big as coasters. Lol Pretty cool would make good gifts too. Grabbed more coins before silver broke through resistance.
we should hopefully get back to the old hi’s or better. which is 0.3825 or over 5 times where we are now…if Gold just stays here which of course it wont, $ 15 K…says XAU 5737.5
On the last chart you posted, we are looking for that XAU/GOLD chart to move back up toward the .16 level, correct? That’s a long way from here. The shares would be just getting started.
On the gold chart, we have moved up over $900 since the last week of August. The moves have intensified as we have moved up $300 this week alone. It would seem that we’re going to see some really big moves up before we see a reversal/pause. Maybe we’ve already seen them over the last few days, but it doesn’t feel that way. I’m thinking this pauses when we see a $200-300 daily move up.
If Bitcoin/crypto is actually unwinding. The ride could be epic.
Just dealing with a lot . and I will describe one of my current distractions.
About a month ago a neighbor’s tree was hit by lightning . That causes sap to boil instantly , creating a steam explosion which shattered the tree trunk about 20 feet up . That tree was overgrown by a wild fig vine which wraps around and around the outer growth of the host , adding massively to make the tree top heavy and lean southward seeking the sun . The peak of my roof is directly South , about 35 or 40 feet away , and that is where the upper trunk and top 25 feet of oak and vine landed , taking out a skylight as well as structural damage to that end of my roof . The tree was about 100 feet tall.
Fortunately this doublewide manufactured home was very well built , but even so , the roof edge 2 by 8 has about an 18 inch longitudinal split , starting at the bottom edge and running toward the ridge . That is on the tensile side of the centerline of the 2 by 8.
I will be able to repair it by using a commercial grade C-clamp to close the split and adding steel plates on both sides .
Being on the downhill side of my mid-80’s doesn’t help with agility , LOL .
Fortunately I am wiry and thin , so much fitter than most my age.
All is well , I am fortunate that it was not much worse.
Thanks for that article. I’ve been looking all day for some reason they dropped today. Their main products will be copper, gold, and molybdenum which is not technically a rare earth mineral. But maybe they are considered related to the broader sector.
Haven’t even found why they took off again a month or so ago after pulling back from the shot they took after Trump’s announcement in the Summer. Maybe just optimism about their case, or insider information about it. They did file a brief October 6, as I’m sure you know, but the stock was moving before that.
Interesting chart. Can you imagine if some of that Bitcoin/crypto money started to move into our metals in earnest?
I’m not sure how many, if any, $100 up days we’ve had on this run, but I’m wondering if we’re going to start seeing $100-200 swings pretty soon.
I thought we’d have a big round number battle at $4K, maybe they’ll wait until $5K. I’m wondering if we might see $5K really soon, the moves may start to intensify, especially if Bitcoin money piles in. $5K gold is nothing to guys holding $120K bitcoin.
We know it’s central banks doing the bulk of the buying, but why? Do they know something is coming? A re-valuation?
We’re not hearing about supply issues, yet it just keeps powering higher day after day.
If there was a day they should have been able to get the metals, it was today when the SM cracked. Bitcoin getting trashed, down another $3K. Oil down to $57.01.
The algo’s have been working on SLV all day, but GLD seems oblivious to the pressure.
I have two stocks that can’t seem to get out of bed and join the fun. Dolly Varden and New Found Gold. Not sure what’s up with those two, especially Dolly Varden. The charts on both look good, volume has been good, but there is a consistent seller in both of them. They’ve done OK, but nothing like any of their peers.
We all knew Gold and Silver was worth a lot more. And typical stocks and real estate were both over rated, so they’ll probably both go down over time.
Probably from higher property taxes due to cash flow problems, because the USA got stuck and left with a shit load of wealth absorbing EPA jobs, service jobs and tax payer gov’t jobs, and no more machine shop jobs that that used to create wealth and paid taxes rather than absorbing taxes.
Even a real US president has been elected, all the others, (except JFK) were totally useless. Even Ron Reagan ’81 to ’89 the manufacturing jobs were FLYING out of the USA. Who the hell was REALLY in charge? Some anti American foreigners?
That is getting their snout inside the tent ……I can just about imagine what the actual language was like in the Oval office….. straight off a NY building site,
