Back in late 60s as a teen my eyes were being opened to the lack of proper care of the elders. I was lucky mine were self sufficient but so many others needed help. Even so self sufficient they shouldn’t have to just die if that changes if there’s mechanical  aids and things that can compensate. Medicine had this attitude that they’re going to die anyways just because their old so why do something about this or that Including immediate needs, gangrene left to suffer and die, strokes, heart attacks and yes even a broken hip. It was actually expected if a elder fell and broke their hip  it was a death sentence back then.

I started making it a priority for change. They’ve been through and survived through so much they deserved better including our veterans. I found I wasn’t alone along the way. I had to change the attitude of people thinking by a certain age which was a younger age then they are expected to die.

Through the years collected extensive understanding and experience in that age group even though part of me personally has to fight the notion of my elders if your no longer independent you don’t want to be here anymore but their also denying a younger generation who wants them around. Also after the baby boomers which brought a economic boom of things revolving around children. Then it slowly switched to the elders. Reason being is as births were declining the fastest growing age group was elders, generally 85 or older. Mind you though the oldest group had a higher level of genetic natural survival in the absence of medicine and certain vaccines they also weren’t poisoned witn plus he’s up in a less chemical toxic environment where their greatest enemy was bacteria. Because of that they took it more seriously than today with antibiotics, water filtration, refrigeration, modern meds or treatments etc because it was a death sentence back then. They also tended to be stronger in bone and muscle strength although could still  get wear and tear and arthritis, because they did more physical work or tasks and for longer and were born in the late 1800sbor early 1900s off the grid. They had wear and tear issues of things like riding horses or buggy’s pulled by horses holding on some slumped over a bit  People have it easier now than then but they were collectively a stronger group of survivors.

With that can you see the arrogance of these kind of people who had it easy all their life mainly because these elders came first fortunately for us. Imagine of it was the other way around lol

Actually now it is in some ways and because of arrogance and useless representatives and businesses wanting more for themselves and less for everyone else people are having less kids. Age used to be shaped like a pyramid. The young at the bottom were the largest group, the oldest at the top. Now it’s flipped upside down and been that way for awhile. Could be a lot of different jobs created and are as things are pointed out like Grandma or uncle Joe  can no longer drive and food delivery, pre cooked to heat up means or transportation that could go with it too.

They follow a model that it’s about food Armstrong mentioned but that old model was before advances in farming that can now produce more food . It no longer applies.

Yeah they’ve been using SS like chump change and we’re the chumps that paid into it. Lol All there going to do is cause more poverty and reliance on social programs if they’re telling people they’re better off broke and own nothing. That’s stupid..
