Ex food and energy y/y were a little hotter 3.1% vs 3.0% est.
CPI overall y/y was cooler 2.7% vs. 2.8% est.
The m/m numbers were in line.
Dollar fell a bit but off the lows, SM of course loved the numbers. Silver up a little, gold being pinched on either side of flat.
PM shares firm again though.

Nothing much to report until then. Literally everything is right about where it closed yesterday. Rates up 1 bip with the dollar flat. PM’s flat.
They are looking for the CPI to tick up 0.1%
Maddog – very true. Especially in terms of PE’s on the pm shares. I have no idea why they haven’t bumped their dividends. Maybe they’re as surprised as we are that the metals are holding up. Barrick hiked its divi 50% yesterday on earnings, the problem for them is their mine in Mali caused their production number to be down, and while the earnings were good on what they mined, they still took a hit.
I wonder how many of these folks are hedging? I’ve seen a few.

Up late learning things. Scary things. Cartel is using AI to kidnap teen girls. One woman watching had her daughter tracked leaving her grandma’s house by fake Uber tracked by tech and police going 200 miles from home what the girl thought was Uber but the kidnapper what she thought was to meet some boy but instead he was taking her to the border where a truck with more cartel were waiting Border patrol rescued the girl. The car went the other way was abandoned. That is about as close as you can get to disappearing forever.
Sounds like you need a new mechanic or a new car. Maybe get one of those check engine plug in things that can tell you what’s wrong. Also reset it once fixed. Don’t use that Fixd one IMO it requires a app you have to pay for to use. They have some that not only check your car but your battery. Glad you back safe but cars unexpected problems not cool.
You know i decided to get a EBike instead of a scooter for my youngest grandson birthday this last weekend turning 13 and his dad put it together checked it out first. It has cruise control. Who knew but he said it’s dangerous You can slow down and stop but it stays in cruise and take off fast. So he disconnected it cuz he’s too young and seems to be like a dead man’s clutch and could take off on you into traffic maybe. Then he tells me he won’t ride it if he has to wear a helmet. It’s not cool he’ll be made fun of his dad tells me Now even after what happened to his mom on her motorcycle? Plus a trauma nurse said the majority of head trauma cases are the kids and ones not wearing helmets even elderly or disabled scooters or wheel chairs . I told him just tell him no. Don’t care what others think. No helmet no bike he don’t make the rules here parents do. Tell him to blame it on me see what I’ll tell them. So he’s using his helmet. Good bike though has multi speed mountain bike plus electric still pricy at 400 but not 1200 and can do as much or more.

She’s taking the 1500 too broken in three doses a day and said the flush goes away after first few days. She said she felt the same way with the flush and wouldn’t take it again and then one day her husband slipped it in there cups of supplements they take, she could of killed him. Lol I told her he’s lucky he didn’t find ExLax snuck .in pills the next day. She does take it occasionally now though Got her number little over 200 down to the low 100s to keep her doctor happy. I’ve been taking regular niacin B3 with the flush for over 20 years . I started out with a 1500mg dose cut it back to 1200mg over the years and it does lower the cholerterol. You get use to the flush. Now that no flush niacinamide can mess with your liver and I stayed away from it.
If I can find it I’ll post the link but last year the first 30 year study on statins vs no statins came out and people that took statins lived 6 days longer. Lots of people say the rise in demenmtia is from statins.

My nuclear friend is also very knowledgeable in nutrition and supplements. Down fall is her husband was also a gourmet cook including cakes and pastries French style as a hobby. So she got rid of cholesterol fast without statins using niacin. And it worked. But it can temporarily raise liver enzymes. It’s like theyre addicted to dept. Like they’re gamblers. I’ve been trying to push my credit past 800. Not that I want to buy anything big. But recently got pushed back on a few points and the reason wasn’t debt. It was because I closed a credit card with zero balance in good standing. I guess they look at it as now you have a less credit potential. Like the more cards you have if there balance is low or zero they’ll give you points. It’s like a bankers lure to put you in debt. . But at the same time wouldn’t it make sense if you were to get a loan if you did not want debt and had less potential debt and less risk than someone who had potential debt all over the place

Shares are quite something these days. $50 down in gold and $.60 in silver doesn’t make a dent.
It would seem there is some confidence that the metals are going to stay elevated, and earnings are going to continue to be strong. Can’t think of any other reason to buy them.
