Don’t put off the hip replacement. You can’t ‘heal’ it when you are down to bone-on-bone grinding. I had bone spurs blooming around the edges of the ball joint that had to be ground off. I had a good ortho surgeon, board certified, with lots of good outcomes. I neglected to mention that with the meds, they gave me a week’s worth of Oxycodone also for severe pain. I only used that three times. I don’t like it. But I encourage you to get the hip done, and in rehab you will learn how much that helps your other problems. Hip replacement has become a well documented and standardized surgery now days.
