Silver is making a head and shoulders ish pattern with negative Macd divergence to watch out for. Gold is moving in a narrowing range where it could go up or down. Both still above laddering support.

Some of the mid-cap silver shares caught a good bid late in the day, most of them on good volume. Not sure what that means other than the buyers think silver is going up.

AG might get back to $21, once it pops $10 more funds can buy it. I like their management. They hold a bunch of oz. off the market, it was 700,000 oz. on the last report I read, that was a couple of quarter ago. They’ve fumbled some of their operations in the last couple of years and had trouble with earnings but those ounces they continue to retain are getting a lot more valuable. I know they are going to mint their own coins and bars as well. I’m not sure what profitability looks like for that but they’ve dumped a bunch of money into the operation.

Everyone including Buffett is expecting a recession starting either end of the year or into next. Maybe not sudden maybe a slow decline. They have their different opinions.

The thing I question is next year being a election year and wouldn’t  what ever party’s in power want the market to go up? That might be good for gold if the next Fed starts lowering the interest rates in a effort to keep the economy going until all the jobs Trump is bringing back in get started. I guess it will depend.

Two of my biggest long term silver miner dogs CDE and HL are finally in the money. There is only one left under water AG, what is wrong with it? It was $21 in 2/1/21. Its up 66% in six months, so maybe it will catch up if silver gets back over $50.

Ex food and energy y/y were a little hotter 3.1% vs 3.0% est.

CPI overall y/y was cooler 2.7% vs. 2.8% est.

The m/m numbers were in line.

Dollar fell a bit but off the lows, SM of course loved the numbers. Silver up a little, gold being pinched on either side of flat.

PM shares firm again though.

Maddog – very true. Especially in terms of PE’s on the pm shares. I have no idea why they haven’t bumped their dividends. Maybe they’re as surprised as we are that the metals are holding up. Barrick hiked its divi 50% yesterday on earnings, the problem for them is their mine in Mali caused their production number to be down, and while the earnings were good on what they mined, they still took a hit.

I wonder how many of these folks are hedging? I’ve seen a few.

Up late learning things. Scary things. Cartel is using AI to kidnap teen girls. You know i decided to get a EBike instead of a scooter for my youngest grandson birthday this last weekend turning 13 and his dad put it together checked it out first. It has cruise control. Who knew but he said it’s dangerous You can slow down and stop but it stays in cruise and take off fast. So he disconnected it cuz he’s too young and seems to be like a dead man’s clutch and could take off on you into traffic maybe. Then he tells me he won’t ride it if he has to wear a helmet. It’s not cool he’ll be made fun of his dad tells me Now even after what happened to his mom on her motorcycle? Plus a trauma nurse said the majority of head trauma cases are the kids and ones not wearing helmets even elderly or disabled scooters or wheel chairs . I told him just tell him no. Don’t care what others think. No helmet no bike he don’t make the rules here parents do. Tell him to blame it on me see what I’ll tell them.   So he’s using his helmet. Good bike though has multi speed mountain bike plus electric still pricy at 400 but not 1200 and can do as much or more.

That walking comment was in jest…but if my car ain’t fixed my wife will likely do me in……as is second year running, it has failed, as we are about to go home.

She’s taking the 1500 too broken in three doses a day and said the flush goes away after first few days. She said she felt the same way with the flush and wouldn’t take it again and then one day  her husband slipped it in there cups of supplements they take,  she could of killed him. Lol I told her he’s  lucky he didn’t find ExLax snuck .in pills the next day. She does take it occasionally now though Got her number little over 200 down to the low 100s to keep her doctor happy. She mention the time release type don’t work for that and don’t know what type she has but I’ll mention what you said about the no flush type. Thanks for that.
