While I was looking at the silver chart, I looked at the V long term on….and the Log scale one and a v interesting E wave count came up, that is super bullish……we are only in the 3rd Impulse wave from wave 1922 !!!
Shorter term yes we are building a bullish hesitation on the daily chart, as probably a 4th wave dn, with some more time needed, before we break higher again.

I’m looking at SLV as a proxy but it looks like it’s flagging to me and has been building that flag for nearly a month.
Is that a bullish or bearish development?
Silver slowly continuing to strengthen this am. Who can dare figure that metal out?
Dollar and rates creeping up this am
Oddly enough, pm’s are too, and I do mean creeping. Silver up 1/2%. Gold up $5. PM shares creeping as well.
10 yr. up 3 bips. Ther big winner is Bitcoin up 2%. Oil also up better than 1% SM flat.
Eco data is the ADP jobs report – yep, that’s right, another dreaded jobs report week. I did see the JOLTS from yesterday and the amount of job openings rose a lot more than expected, it beat by 50K. So, I’m not sure if it’s an early indication of economic strength here in the US. We know it’s not a govt. job boom.
It is nice to see the metals strengthening, after being down some pretty much all night. The trick is trying to hold it all day as they hit the drip sell button on the algo’s.

Amazing how they just bleed this stuff all day long. What’s weird is for the most part the action in silver hurt the gold shares worse than some of the silver shares. The end game of course was to keep the HUI below 420.
Silver still battling for $36 while gold has a $35 up day. Just ridiculousness.
It’s an impossible game trying to guess when/if silver is going to move.

No doubt. Things are squirrely. I like the resilience though, especially in the silver shares. Makes me think silver will start to play catch-up later today.
I’m not sure I agree with Oliver. Certainly, a bet on a pullback or pause in gold is always the higher percentage bet.
Gold had that quick break below the 50 dma and now it’s bouncing back above. That could have been a head fake to the downside. I don’t know how to account for the deliveries in terms of their effect on the price. Obviously, they put upside pressure on gold, but the uptrend has been intact since the beginning of the year, slow and steady. I thought they were going to break it this week, but so far it looks like it might re-assert itself. If so, I could see gold move another $3-400 higher from here.
Silver is a hot mess. I have no clue what that’s going to do.
Seems to me that rates and the dollar are the wild card. The dollar is getting near oversold, but it could continue to drift lower for a while. Trump needs a weaker dollar for his exports, the world needs stronger fiat to buy them and pay the tariffs. Rates are coming down one way or another unless something blows. It’s all a shell game.
I’ve tried to ignore the prognosticators, it’s very hard to find anyone who’s been consistently right in this sector. Most aren’t any better than you or I at reading the tea leaves.
Strange day, they sure beat the crap out of tech in short order, and it looked like they rotated straight into the DOW. This is the first time I’ve seen NFLX actually take a good hit. That stock has been ridiculous.

Silver is interesting today
while it is underperforming, a few of the shares are popping nicely. SVM & EXK stand out. HL has struggled with the $6 area forever, AG seems to want to hold $8, kind of a mixed bag.
If these guys can’t make money at $36 silver, they’ve got issues. Same with the gold stocks at $3300. Earnings should be spectacular.

That Gov failed both positions and she was probably initially picked for that reason. There was a experiment where a bunch of students some needing to get their grades up would get extra credit if they participated in a experiment. The experiment was to ask other students questions and if they got them wrong they were to give them a electric shock. Some who saw it was painful wound up refusing passing on the extra credit. Others completed the test and zapping the students. When it was over the students conducting the tests found out that it was them that were the experiment on ethics. Would they go through with it harming the students which were in on and no real shock was given they were faking the pain.

That’s so obviously insane. Yes look up classical conditioning and Little Albert a baby by Watson. Probably motivated to try on children or humans after Pavlov experiment with a sort of or harmless conditioning of learned response. In the dog case that would be similar to using a electric can opener today to open up a can of dog food so everytime the dog hears the can opener he associates it with food. Watsons wasn’t harmless or positive conditioning like conditioning a child to do their homework with conditioning and using positive reinforcement. He used fear to cause a phobia. They say it was unethical which it was, terrorizing the child with a loud noise to associate the things he wasn’t afraid of to that scary loud noise causing fear with those things and the color of white things and today would not be allowed but yet they did it ” using fear’ and threats based on lies with the conditioning then acknowledging you were conditioned with a certificate to the whole world.
That compromised Gov was given reinforcement. You know what that means. She would do it again. They’ll be back. False sense of power. Too bad the people let them give her that reinforcement and them too instead of their own due rewards and conditioning..
