Because of Chinas tendency to devalue their currency, redeeming gold in yuan by exchanging another currency would cost much less to exchange their currency into yuan to take possession buying gold  for less if the currencies are not equal and gold is valued in price differently in each country without a standard comparison to then to by what? What country or standard  are they going to base the price?.

Looks like gold down $23, will finish giving up all the gains of Mon. – Tues. at the open this am. Silver fairing better down $.15, but since the RSI barely touched 70 yesterday, it must pull back. Still holding $39 somehow at the moment.

Captain mentioned a slew of gold contracts came on the market and they’d be coming after gold. Definitely appears to be the case in the last couple of days.

Dollar is flat. Rates also flat after jumping 6 bips yesterday. SM futures mixed, tech up, industrials down. Oil up near 1%. Bitcoin flat.

PM shares down 1-2% premarket. No doubt they’ll take the HUI below 440 at least at the open. I suppose they could target 420. I mentioned a couple days ago there wasn’t any real volume in the shares, we’ll see if that means anything. Probably matters if we see heavy selling.

We stayed a few nights with some farmer friends just after the last election. They are frustrated by the city slickers all voting left. All lefty constituencies, Labor, Green, Teal (our equivalent of a RINO) are in the cities. Outside the cities are all blue, which reminds me, why is your right wing party using communist red? Every other country is blue=right, red=left. Anyway, the people who matter, the ones who produce stuff, even the miners and farm workers, vote for common sense candidates. And the righty leader is gutless, walking back on nuclear power to make sure she doesn’t lose what remaining city seats she has.

Fortunately for you, you don’t have a democracy. We can’t elect a Trump outside the uniparty system, we have to wait a long time for it to collapse.
