Using AI is like employing somebody without seeing them, interviewing them, taking references, testing them or knowing anything about them at all. Everybody now knows that they can be unreliable; so how can you rely upon anything that they tell you? Why are people seeming to trust them far more than they would trust a human after they’d been lied to once?

Wow, and I agree, this isn’t even our war or for the right reasons if any reason other than no war,  defense and saving lives. This was about neither about defense or saving lives and not even started by Russia.

I don’t know anything much about the weapons other than hunting and defense but remember when a Russian sub was parked on the coast in California and no one knew anything about it. And those hypersonic missiles I read don’t take very long to hit their target so not much of a chance for a warning to civilians or military. They’ve been around for awhile now so seems they should of been working on that.

It’s a game, and there are certain rules that are generally followed the most important one being that before you start dropping bombs or firing missiles, you are actually at war with an enemy first. The only country that has hypersonic missiles atm is Russia, despite their, according to you, inability to maintain stuff, they have managed to develop a mach 11 missile to which there is no defence (ask the Ukrainians, equipped with Patriot missiles as they are). What is the point of maintaining obsolete weapons anyway? Rather bizarrely you are expecting the Russians to eliminate an American aircraft carrier just to prove that the Hazelnut works. Just for fun, y’ know, no malicious intent but as a sort of high school science experiment. Hey, they could even warn you, just to make it a bit fairer. And the aircraft carrier would be manned by 5,000 volunteers fully aware of the experiment …..

Why would Australia need an aircraft carrier? If Russia doesn’t have one, why should we? What defensive role do they play? Why not develop our own hypersonic missiles, or better still a missile defence system that works against hypersonic missiles? We’ve got 25% more coastline than the USA, on that basis we should need 14 carriers if they were a defensive weapon and quite honestly with a population of 26m finding 80,000 plus mariners would be a stretch. We need to defend smarter; not that there is any sign of that happening either.

Russian electronics are excellent. We use them a lot in communications equipment, better than Huawei. They don’t need maintenance, they just keep working, 15 years + and we’re forgetting where they all are. Fade them at your peril.

That let elitists destroy countries and commit crimes against others and get away with it.

So they at least need one carrier. The US can’t be the only policemen in the world. Need help in the future? The US should fade all requests, sorry out of order guys. Once the US pinches it, they both have YUGE problems.

If aircraft carriers are so easily destroyed, why hasn’t anyone hit the United States one of eleven aircraft carriers with a hypersonic missile? If these hypersonic tools are so bad ass, why isn’t anyone using it? Smells like BS.

I stick to my guns with nukes too. These drunken russians aren’t servicing their ICBM’s. We’ve spent something like $20B maintaining the US arsenal and projected to spend another Trillion. I don’t care about what makes them go off in particular. How they work isn’t important. It’s just IF they work or not. So I’m fading the subject.

What it comes down to is that aircraft carriers are a serious portable weaponized force, and very expensive to operate. This is why Australia doesn’t have a single carrier, it’s not b/c “these ships are easily sank” so we’ll forego having them. Compare the US military expenditures to russians. The US found 10X to fund the war machine. Putin, no matter how fast he prints, can’t get it up. He talks like he has a big co*k, but really he’s faking. It’s all bullshit. Crappy engineering, horrible materials, designs thought out on paper and not computers. There’s nothing state of the art in russia. It’s dumbed down angry men. Just like the middle east.

I don’t know why she’d think she’d get treated better anywhere than in the US. Black people in the US are treated as the “favored” class.

My daughter-in-law is black, her family is from Africa. They have nothing but disdain for US blacks. They think they are lazy and uneducated.

That’s why they don’t move from the US to Africa. No special treatment there.

Now in places like Chicago, they’re pissed at the gov’t. for handing the illegals “their” goodies.

It’s comical, but it’s also really frustrating if you need to deal with the government for things like social security. They play favorites.
