PANAMA CITY, June 2 (Reuters) – Chiquita Panama’s administrative staff have left the country and the firm will seek authorization from the government to sack its remaining personnel in Panama, the nation’s labor minister said on Monday.
The news comes after the company fired some 5,000 workers of a total of 6,500 employees nationwide last month in response to a strike at its banana farms.

I think it could be prudent. The dollar is strengthening but the metals are holding firm.

We may take a hit today but hopefully yesterday was a game changer. Certainly for the shares.

The dollar is gaining and rates falling. SM the same. Oil flat. PM shares losing ground. We can probably watch the shares to see if the selling will intensify.

I’d hope so. I’m not sure this was just a war bump, volume was great across the board and never wavered. Nothing is overbought. Hard to see much in the way of news that is going to hurt us. HUI should run to the old highs above 600, nothing standing in its way now, the trend line on the HUI chart is almost vertical.

Silver should breach $35 in the overnights. We’ll see if the manipulators can mount an offense.

Exciting stuff, hope that the big money is finally joining the fray. Obviously, there’s still some tech buyers out there as somehow they rallied the SM.
