Loading ...Re Taiwan….i have read invading it from the sea would be a nightmare, it is surrounded by small islands all made of granite, ie near bomb proof, but perfect for gun/missile emplacements, to take out the invading forces….then when you get to the island itself, there are no nice beaches to walk up, you get 200 metre hi rock cliffs, with thick jungle on the top……
On that basis you either can try and starve them out, medieval style , or nuke the place and basically write it off the face of the earth…..
So no easy choices and if yr right about Xi’s power being weakened, does he want to tell hundreds of thousands of families their son is dead…..or face the World, having destroyed the island….
