That’s kinda said to hear. I haven’t been back much longer than you. Last time I was through there was when a fellow Wisconsin friend American Indian friend and her baby driving through including the wounded knee uprising, the latest one that is and picked up her sisters out of a army base along the way and before we got to their reservation they made me look Indian because they were on the war path too until they got to know me and I didn’t look the part. Then took off to see relatives. I see that in some of the extended family but not much. Like my niece and her daughter said she’s gonna stop posting of Facebook for awhile after getting slammed for voting for Biden in the 2020. I didn’t criticize her but stopped talking to her after she said the election wasn’t rigged but I think her Aunt on her other side a pro Trumper too might have but many of her friends on FB apparently did.
I could kinda see how that happened though. Although it was once a good place to raise kids it was very misogynistic controlling and not as much opportunities for girls and us girls then were already starting to rebel. As human nature of darn if I forget the name of the man in chemistry said when you get that big rock rolling down the hill it first resists moving but when it starts moving it’s hard to stop. There’s no moving it a little bit I guess. Like a pendulum it swings from one side to another. So if it swings too far one way so will it the other. But this time it’s not a pendulum that’s swinging from the left, it’s a wrecking ball.
