What you say about the shares is exactly what’s happened in this latest quarter. NEM, AEM had great earnings and both were slammed. SSRM and SAND missed big and their shares have been the strongest of the bunch. SAND in particular missed big, estimates were for $.06, they came in at $.01. Now they are a lender, but still ugly and what does that say about the willingness of miners to expand their operations?
The real problem is that the shares get hit even harder if they miss. Talk about a no-win situation. Geesh. You’re right about something else, this has been the case since 2011 – at least. I’d like to think that an influx of volume will remedy this, but it doesn’t appear forthcoming at this point.
Trying to breach sub $80K. That’s well over 20% off the highs. Is it possible that bitcoin is in a new bear market? Or are the crypto players about to find out they’ve been duped and all of them are going to zero? Hate to be the last guy out.
Contrast that with gold and silver. Gold is what 3% off the all-time highs? Silver is silver, off recent highs by about 6% or so.
The only thing that makes this sector look bad is the disaster known as pm shares. SNG is right about the computers and their complete control over the sector. Until they flip the switch, and some actual liquidity comes into the arena as the Captain mentioned, the ugliness of the shares will continue unabated. Just the reality we live in.
Dollar flat. Rates down a few bips. SM trying to bounce. Oil down 1%
There’s some potential market moving eco data out this am but it’s Friday they can do pretty much whatever they want.
is like saying Britain started world war 2. Which, actually, we did. Not only did we declare war, but we sent a third of a million troops and tanks and guns etc into Europe to attack Germany. Which did not end well, but, anyway. Life’s a beach. At Dunkirk.
Germany crossed the final red line by invading Poland (hey you Poles? Who kicked the Krauts out, eh? Wasn’t the Poms or the Yanks) after annexing Austria, Czechoslovakia etc. Ukraine crossed the red lines of genocide of Russian speakers, and applying for NATO membership.
You can see in the background where the jungle keeps coming over the fence from the wild lot next to me. Constant maintenance with machete & chain saw to keep the fence line clear. I haul a truckload of green waste to the recycle dump every week.

On war on free speech in UK. VP what they do in their country is their business but it also affects American companies. One thing Starmer couldn’t honestly defend. Why they want to protect these criminals and bums invading their country is beyond me.

He makes some good points about the Fed. Their prediction can be wrong. Like high unemployment can lead to inflation . He gives a 1970 example. There wasn’t inflation with Trump even with tarriffs but there was because of the Fed in housing with the interest rate low too long that carried over to Biden who also caused inflation with everything else while deflating jobs. There’s more to it.

You’ll see some errors in my post. That is because I was not being allowed to make some changes, or remove something I wanted to correct or change to make it more understandable. I spent an hour of frustration with my post being changed by something or someone other than me….like it was not allowing me to say what I intended….but I persevered and finally got it to where it was at least mostly understandable, albeit with spacing and other unimportant errors. I think I was being discouraged, and whatever was “controlling” or trying to change and control what I was writing finally let me finish it and post it. Just in case it disappeared into the ether, which has happened occasionally in the past, I copy/pasted it into an email and sent it to myself. IMO it is too important for people not to begin to see the control that has been put into the “markets”….but once seen it cannot be unseen. All FWIW! SNG

Maybe we can all put in a selling price at a higher price wait till it starts moving toward that number to grab up but go short before then then take off the sell. I bet they do that.

Well if that don’t beat all!!! Maybe we should all get together and do the same to them playing options. We each buy some shares let them do their shorting while we all buy options and make them cover their shorts as high as we can get them.

IMO this is the reason the PM shares are going nowhere while both silver and gold are on their way up, and phyz may be set to explode…..but not the shares.
This investing game began to change with the advent of personal computers, On-line brokers, super computers, Derivatives, and ETF’s, and came under their control with the stock market crash of 2009.
Here’s how it works:
A: you buy PM shares of your favorite miner(s) from your on-line Broker and those shares go into your Brokers account; not into yours.
B: This allows your broker to loan/rent/lease your shares to, say, BlackRock and/or ALADDIN to show they “own or possess” those shares.
C: Now BlackRock and/or ALADDIN can legally short those shares to nullify whatever gains might have been made, using your shares, and the volume will double. IMO this is why volume became less than meaningful about that time.
D. This is also when the actions of the stocks (and stock markets) no longer made any sense. A miner had good drill results and the stock plummeted. Poor results and it exploded, etc.
E. Up is down, good is bad, right is wrong, lie is truth, whatever and however the super computer is programmed is how the stocks perform.
All FWIW but I hope a few will listen. If you are in the markets, you will be and are being fleeced. This is a zero sum game in preparation for whatever TPTB have planned. Being a Christian person my recommendation is to get out your Bible and see where you think we are in the Book of Revelation. I think we are in Chapter 13 and you are about to be offered “the mark of the beast” in the new crypto digital monetary control system….Again FWIW! SNG

They should of treated the FBI like the FBI treated Trump and other conservative or MAGA citizens. Wake them up early morning hours guns drawn, their places searched, their electronics removed and gather the files.
BREAKING: Attorney General Pam Bondi is launching an investigation after the FBI field office in New York allegedly withheld thousands of Epstein documents.
Bondi says a source has come forward claiming the field office has thousands of pages of docs.
“I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents.”
“Late yesterday, I learned from a source that the FBI Field Office in New York was in possession of thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein.”
“Despite my repeated requests, the FBI never disclosed the existence of these files. When you and I spoke yesterday, you were just as surprised as I was to learn this new information.”

It sounded like Starmer did some good, was busy during the luncheon Trump mentioned, as far as the tarriffs he was working on it Trump said in jest. It sounded like Trump hopes to work with UK that’s fair for both countries in a positive way that there is no increase in tarriffs unless their reciprocal or equal.
