Murdered Insurance CEO Had Deployed an AI to Automatically Deny Benefits for Sick People:
Just over a year before United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson was murdered this week in Midtown Manhattan, a lawsuit filed against the insurance giant he helmed revealed just how draconian its claims-denying process had become.
Last November, the estates of two former UHC patients filed suit in Minnesota alleging that the insurer used an AI algorithm to deny and override claims to elderly patients that had been approved by their doctors.
The algorithm in question, known as nH Predict, allegedly had a 90 percent error rate — and according to the families of the two deceased men who filed the suit, UHC knew it.
As that lawsuit made its way through the courts, anger regarding the massive insurer’s predilection towards denying claims has only grown, and speculation about the assassin’s motives suggests that he may have been among those upset with UHC’s coverage.
The plot always thickens.

Been awhile since we’ve seen the dollar fall and rates come down. It’s been a one-way ticket straight up.

Silver is getting butchered right now. gold down 1%. So, I guess that means we will be going down with everything else one more time.
Bitcoin getting trashed for another $4K, ready to break below $90K. At least there’s some solace in that. Tech is getting crushed.
Rates up another 3 bips as the dollar vaults into the stratosphere. There’s the dollar and nothing else, all other fiat is trash.
One thing gives me pause this am. The pm shares are not really getting obliterated in the premarket, although there’s plenty of time for them to get crushed. Watching and waiting. One day things will be different. 🙂

Environmentalist may have started out well meaning, I don’t know, too young 60 yrs ago. Somewhere along the way they turned into criminals and follow the money hacks to outright murders to humans and wildlife.

In southern Calif trying to sell her father’s house in a nice area with costly homes it’s been on the market for 3 1/2 years now. That’s unbelievable for LA in areas with less population. Except for some areas your better off selling affordable working class homes. They’re saying those houses right on the coast next to the ocean, environmentalist will pressure weak politicians and will make sure that they can’t build there anymore. Plus the want everything all electric so no power no cooking and cold showers and no heat no charging cars. Not enough electric to go around as is. Less they get the weak incompetent politicians and clueless activists out and get rid of them. Where are they when they want to build wind mills all along the coastal waters that will rust and have to be replaced every so many years and can’t dispose of the materials it’s made from and kill the whales migration path. They had a nice ocean view restaurant there it’s gone too.

Thats good. Because in my view peak means its ending and going go into reverse. Like peak high tide or peak low tide. To me the tipping point peak was 9/11, I knew that day, the world economy was going to change. They attacked the global trade parasite class.
After that, my view was confirmed by the 2008 financial crisis, and after that, another sign of major reversal was Trump getting elected the first time.
Then after he magically lost reelection, the public saw four more years of a totally obnoxious fake US gov’t. So he finally got elected again with a landslide, which in my view, confirmed again, the major reversal is still intact.
In fact I was reading a magazine story in 2014 about the reversal of globalization. Its a very slow moving trend, exactly like we lost our independence in a slow moving trend.
