Loading ...“Air traffic CONTROLLERS” is an improper name. They are actually traffic DIRECTORS, that the pilots can ignore if it is a safety issue. The last rule in the book says that the Pilot in Command can break any rule in the book if required for the safe operation of his aircraft.
And the pilots well know that the idiots on the ground make mistakes… and the pilot is charged with correcting those mistakes safely!
