Well I use Duck Duck Go and have been happy with it.  I suspect Safari runs in the background collecting information but there is only so much I can do.

when my family gave me my first ipad I thought I would seldom to never use.  Now I seldom use the laptop only for QB or Office.

what can i say i love the ipad with apps for everything i do

belong to two digital libraries, do online puzzles, do charting with the Fidelity app.

One of the reasons I bought 3 Windows 8.1 os discs on ebay and load one on any new laptop and never update other than also loading about 8 files I need to make my Office, QB, and printer load and work.

btw I also buy two new flash drives every two years and backup monthly or more often.

In another appointment with potential to shake up the federal health regime, Donald Trump on Friday nominated Dr. Martin Makary to lead the Food & Drug Administration. Makary, a Johns Hopkins University pancreatic surgeon and author of three New York Times bestsellers, has been critical of the government’s role in health care. The role requires Senate confirmation.

Declaring that the FDA has “lost the trust of Americans,” Trump said Makary will “course-correct and refocus the agency,” to include “properly evaluat[ing] harmful chemicals poisoning our nation’s food supply and drugs and biologics being given to our nation’s youth, so that we can finally address the childhood chronic disease epidemic.”

Makary grew to national notoriety as one of several highly-credentialed physicians who pushed back on many elements of the federal response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Testifying before Congress, Makary said:

“The greatest perpetrator of misinformation during the pandemic has been the United States government. Misinformation that Covid was spread through surface transmission, that vaccinated immunity was far greater than natural immunity…that myocarditis was more common after the infection than the vaccine…that young people benefit from a booster…”

I couldn’t finish your other comment on Trump and vaccines. I was also hoping I wouldn’t be the only one here. All alone,all alone, oh dear, oh my.
I don’t know if you watched during the debates in 2016 or available to you. Out of all the contenders including one Doctor Trump was the only one who stood apart and said he would not mandate vaccines That he personally saw a friend of his toddler permanently damaged, a child by vaccines.
When he initiated warp speed it was in an attempt to save the economy from the shut down. It was the swamp that wanted to destroy the economy then initiate Marxist control. He also said provided it was to be safe and effective nor would he force it on people with mandates. The swamp planned it to go on longer to do it. By then much of the public now under the spell of mass hysteria by psych ops for control to get people to do what they wouldn’t ordinarily do like take a untested vaccine while they prevented treatments that worked. Well after he was driven out we see where that went including the mandates.  Now we see where he went by teaming up with RFK.Jr.

Not just the Jews with power, it wasn’t them with NGO’s on immigration. That was the Catholics and Lutherans making money off if. I’m surprised they stayed quite so far unlike Europe. Be Shaira leaders, Christian or Jews it’s one big endless power play. Levin is well learned in the constitution and I will listen to him on occasion. But making himself part of the establishment and his vast knowledge most don’t have on the subject he can be deceiving by secretly or by over sight omiting parts of the constitution like article 1 that states a Federal Judge appointed based on good behavior or the supremacy clause which is hard to imagine he over looked. This is why it’s so important to rid ourselves of bad actors in Congress and the Justice system.
I’m sure they’re going to go whining and complaining it’s not fair while failing to mention they are trying to usurp the constitution. That they can’t just do whatever they want to do  and dictate to others what they can do and can’t do even when they’re wrong.
It will back fire on them when they selfishly omit the rights of the citizens and constitution over their own elitist agenda when their states suffer from sanctions that of course they will never take the blame and figure it will never affect them. It just might show up on these Governor’s and party next election.

Everybody was buying gold and silver. There were not so many places in the 1970s as today, to invest funny money other than stocks bonds or real estate.

The constitution overrides state laws that are in conflict with the constitution and is the  supreme law over state laws otherwise they could make up their own laws like IE if someone decided they wanted Shaira Law in Michigan, they can’t make up their own laws that violate the supreme laws of the land, the constitution. Our framers were forward thinking. .

The Supremacy Clause prevents states from:

Interfering with the federal government’s constitutional powers

Assuming functions that are the federal government’s responsibility

Enforcing additional regulations that conflict with federal law

The preemption doctrine, which comes from the Supremacy Clause, states that federal law takes precedence over state law when the laws conflict. For example, federal immigration law preempts state or local laws that impose sanctions on the hiring of unauthorized workers.

However, the federal government doesn’t have the power to review or veto state laws before they take effect. Also, federal law shouldn’t preempt state law unless it was clearly the purpose of Congress.
