BTW – Bitcoin screaming higher

That’s yet another investment I wished I had got into other than pm’s.

So much opportunity cost lost by being in pm’s for the last two decades.

Pretty brutal day

I’m looking at BTG – B2Gold. Pays a 4% dividend, but a small stock.

Spoke with a TD Ameritrade manager yesterday. Surprisingly he didn’t try to push anything on me. Just said there is nowhere to go other than stocks.

I had to agree, unfortunately not pm stocks. In cash he thought we were losing 6-7% a year because of inflation. Pretty smart guy and not pushy.

Roger that thanks. Strange drop in the paper margined AU AG market. Ya know, share buyers, and futures traders, are two entirely different animals.

The futures players are mostly short term with thousands of ounces (or oil barrels) positions on huge margin, and the slightest percent move up or down makes them big winners or big losers and they need to sell real fast when the price goes against them.

Share players mostly longer term not on margin and if so only 50% maximum? So what I’m saying is the share prices should not be pegged to the action in futures market. Its really dumb.

Who ever posted that, tell him to tell that to whom ever is holding PM shares right now.
There are a lot of good everyday traders that just get out of PM stocks and don’t go back. They might by phyz but the stocks even if the company is making money don’t make any sense. Do you see shake outs in equities or just PMs?
I’m beginning to look at it like a crap table. Sometimes is cold sometimes hot. If it’s cold you walk away or hold back and don’t give away your wins.

Well I’ll be darned

This is just one example of how back as wards things can be. A young woman here a enthusiast with her own little shop. Can make her own weapons and bullets and was teaching her kids. Law abiding I don’t think she even hunts. Then one day she told her abusive mother’s boyfriend not law abiding to back off. Her mother left this violent guy and he was stalking her.
The girl was protecting her mother and and was smart enough to never mentioned weapons although she had them if she needed them.
These thugs know how tp work the system.
He made a complaint against her asking for a restraint order claiming she threatened him and he feared for his life when it was all the other way around. They ordered her to surrender all her guns and that was her lively hood. It caused a backlash to the system that didn’t even investigate before they acted to all who knew her including me. She won in court but it was costly to her. Maybe these kinda cops should realize if they get to us they will be next.

That’s a good thing helping the NRA. I was a member once but didn’t have much use for their magazines either. With the way things are going defunding the police, releasing thugs to the street while they use their campaign money for private security is their atty rep if you have to use it might come in handy though.

Well that would of been a good short

Posted by goldielocks @ 10:41 on August 6, 2021

It went right through one support straight to the next one below. Maybe that will form a mini double bottom so draw the lines again.

But hey all is good in the financial world, trillions in debt, planning on spending trillions more, shutting down business for the vaccine nazis to profit, keeping a imaginary 2 percent inflation number while everything’s doubled in price in just a few yrs.

Third time the HUI has tested the 250-260 are on the down side, I guess usually it means a break below is imminent. I sure hope not, that would be ugly for the shares and the metals IMHO

Taper time?

Posted by Buygold @ 10:18 on August 6, 2021

Course the financial media all claims that because of the strong jobs report this will a reason for the Fed to taper.

Hmmm… what exactly will they taper? Bond purchases? How do they do that without rates going through the roof?

I continue to maintain that rates cannot rise because of the Government debt. JMHO.

Looks like they found a use for that Venezuelan Gold!

You bet! I think they’ll just keep growing and growing.

We’re sure feeling the cosh today! It’s a perfect world!

Ipso, those Sandstorm earnings were really good – Thanks. I think the shares would be doing well if not for the slaughter in the metals

Hopefully so many people will be pissed off about the vaccination mandates that the Democrats will get hammered at the ballot box.

I have no proof, as no proper post mortem was done, but a friend had the vaccine and when his daughter last saw him, he was very short of breath, could barely walk and she was very worried about him….3 days later he dropped dead in the street.

Prior to that he was perfectly ok.

and now … on the bright side …

July Payrolls Beat Expectations Rising 943,000 As Unemployment Rate Tumbles

Posted by ipso facto @ 8:37 on August 6, 2021

With consensus expectations calling for a July payrolls print of 858K and whisper numbers starting at 1 million and rising (and Goldman going so far as expecting 1.175MM), moments ago the BLS reported that in July payrolls came in at a goldilocks 943K, comfortably beating the consensus but below a print that could be considered a clear trigger for “substantial progress” although likely sufficient for the Fed to signal the start of tapering at Jackson Hole.

Wanna Piss Off a Liberal? Join the NRA!

Posted by Maya @ 3:16 on August 6, 2021

I had read recently that liberal lefty attacks on the NRA has left them near bankruptcy.  The libs want to eliminate the NRA… the best independent champion of second amendment rights in the US.

Apparently the NRA responded with a massive nationwide fundraising campaign.  I received a ‘junk mailer’ from the NRA that offered a small backpack gift for joining, and the price was modest, so why not?  I opted not to receive their magazines as I am not a fanatic gun owner, but I DO believe in the constitutional right to keep and bear arms.  I figured this was my loud vote of support for the NRA and a good way to piss off the liberal gun-grabbers.

So I got a note today from the NRA apologizing for the delay.  It seems the response was overwhelming and they ran out of backpacks, but are getting more soon.   Glad I could help.  🙂

Island Disease

Posted by Maya @ 23:56 on August 5, 2021

At 645 new cases, Hawaii has the highest daily case count EVER… since the pandemic started. Governor is ‘committed’ to not implementing lockdowns, but the hand wringing continues. Big Island had 130 new cases yesterday with positivity rate now up to 8.6% of those tested. And the unvaxxed shaming continues. Lt.Gov. ‘covid czar’ and ER MD on TV telling us “if you are not vaccinated, you ARE going to catch the Delta variant, and you ARE going to wind up in the hospital”. Blatant fear mongering from a shameless politician-doctor. Health dept. director says ‘this is threatening our return-to-normal’… well DUHH! Things will NEVER be ‘normal’ like before. And the tourists continue to flood in by the thousands daily. As I predicted long ago, this second wave will be much worse than the first wave in our little island petri dish. At some point I think the state will be forced to shut down again, and somehow shut down the incoming tourist hordes.

FYI vaccine

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 21:22 on August 5, 2021

I stopped by my friends welding shop today. He was working alone, his welder employee was gone. Turns out he went for the vaccine, Johnson and Johnson if I remember right. He said the guy felt crappy, weak and tired all week and then got a stroke. Hes now useless.
