TORONTO, April 4 (Reuters) – Canada’s Eldorado Gold Corp said on Wednesday that an arbitration panel in Greece has ruled it has a valid technical plan to build a metallurgy plant to process concentrate mined from Skouries and Olympias.
Vancouver-based Eldorado, which decided to freeze investment and suspend operations in Skouries last November following a years-long permit tussle with Greece, said it will now consider its next steps.
Greece has argued that Eldorado’s 2014 technical report on the Madem Lakkos metallurgy plant was in breach of a 2003 contract, related to its acquisition of mining assets in the Halkidiki region.
The ruling “should reduce the level of perceived political risk related to the company’s Greek build-out, which has been a key headwind for Eldorado shares the last few years,” RBC Capital Markets analyst Dan Rollins said in a note to clients.
“We expect the first test on this front will be receipt of the remaining permits/approvals for Eldorado’s Skouries project which is in the final stages of being place on care-and-maintenance following ongoing regulatory delays advancing the project forward.”

Macrobiotics: a major tool to heal the impossible

I had over 20 diagnoses for which there still to this day are no known causes and no known cures in medicine. So I figured the first place to start would be to see what folks had used who claimed they had cured their own cancers. When I read Elaine Nussbaum’s story, Recovery From Cancer, I then investigated her and many other people who had claimed the same. She is very well today 23 years after her metastatic cancer, against which medicine was totally powerless.
The next step was to see what macrobiotics could do for me. I was dependent upon eleven allergy injections a week for years for migraines, asthma, chronic sinusitis, brain fog, and eczema, triggered by many pollens, dust, molds, foods and chemicals. As well, I had colitis, arthritis, unwarranted depression, exhaustion, and a recent onset of a uselessly painful right shoulder which baffled orthopedic specialists. I couldn’t even raise my arm to brush my hair or pick up a medical chart for six months. Within one month of the strict phase macrobiotic diet, as I described in detail in The Cure Is In the Kitchen, I was windsurfing in the Caribbean, because my shoulder was cured. As well, I’ve never had or needed another allergy injection. But what macrobiotics did for me is a drop in the bucket, compared with what I saw with hundreds of my patients. I saw people turn on and off like a switch such conditions as multiple sclerosis, severe chemical sensitivities, multiple myeloma and other cancers and conditions. As a result, we have found that as healing as the macrobiotic diet is, many people are too polluted and nutrient-depleted to heal with just the macrobiotic diet alone. As we described in Detoxify Or Die, we show folks how to determine their levels of vitamins, minerals, fatty acids and correct them. As well, how to determine their levels of toxicity and get the disease-promoting chemicals out of the body. The beauty is that the combination of the macrobiotic diet, nutritional correction and reversing the level of toxicity has enabled people to heal the impossible. And if they are just plain well, it’s the closest thing to the fountain of youth that we can attain, for it restores our levels of health back to where they were decades prior and in fact most are even better. have been losing money on a stock mkt. that has gone up 20,000 DOW points since 2009–the mkt looks like it has flipped from bullish to bearish lo these past few months…the CBs must step in–the stock mkts ARE the economy…it will be interesting to see how gold ends the day-unlike 2008, I think gold won’t crash with stocks this time…

I too have great memories of rail travel . One of my earliest memories is of getting ready to board a transcontinental train when I was only 2 years old – I believe in Montreal , to go to Vancouver. A few days ago you posted a link to a photo of a Canadian Pacific ‘Hudson’ steam locomotive . I believe that may have been the type of locomotive which pulled into the station as we waited on the platform . I had been on trains before to get to Montreal from Northern Ontario , but that locomotive was so huge it scared me . My father was a tall man , yet I believe the drive wheels of that locomotive were as tall as he was. Steam locomotives had no ‘gearing’ so I guess the diameter of the drive wheels determined the top speed for the long stretches crossing the many miles of the prairies , and passenger trains were light compared to freights , so getting the train rolling was not an issue.
After putting my mother and I on board the Pullman , my father left to catch a different train to return to his work building the air base in Labrador ( Goose Bay?). Since it was war time , and sugar was rationed , I had never tasted sugar . I had also never seen a black person . My mother was not feeling well one morning on the trip , and the black porter offered to take me to the dining car for my daily breakfast of oatmeal porridge . On the table was a small bowl of some white granular stuff that I had never seen before . The porter sprinkled some on my porridge , poured milk on it , and put a spoonful in my mouth . WOW ! Why had my my morning porridge never tasted like THAT before ? After that , in my mind all black people were wonderful and kind .
You are right , we have great memories of that era . I believe that after the plight of so many during the Great Depression , CEO’s were a kinder , gentler breed than the CEO’s of today . They were certainly not paid over a hundred times more than the line workers . We were poorer then , but richer in values and morality than many today .

As a child of the 50’s and 60’s, I also miss the ‘good old days’ of my youth. Back when you didn’t have to endure a sex assault to board an aircraft. And travel was mostly on the ground, in a righteous streamliner! The Silver Burlington locos haul the Empire Builder out of Chicago.
