Agree on all counts. SM soars again probably on the Goldman/Soro’s pick for treasury secretary, dollar soars because every other currency is crap.

Rates are surging because the economy is great.

I really hope Trump doesn’t disappoint by picking Romney.

Posted by Farmboy @ 10:06 on November 30, 2016

but I’m giving Trump some leeway and still trusting his judgement for now. The game of Fox and Hounds has not even officially begun yet. Is Trump crazy? Or is he crazy like a fox? By offering some, like Romney, an olive branch in one hand, does he hold a club in the other hand? Quite a chess move if he can get his ‘enemies’ to join up and be the one’s to execute his plans. Going to be interesting. For sure, more is going on than what is revealed in the headlines.

Trump Reaches Deal To Keep 1,000 Carrier Jobs In The U.S.

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:27 on November 30, 2016

Nine months ago the video of a plant-full of American workers getting the news that they were ‘fired’ due to Carrier International moving its air-conditioning plant from Indiana to Mexico went viral and became a meme for Trump’s “America First” plans. Today, according to CNBC’s David Faber, the Trump team and United Technologies have reached an agreement on keeping close to 1,000 factory jobs at the Carrier plant in Indiana.

A message as timely now, as it was back then. Perhaps even more so with the political strife and  no less than the future of Italy at stake. Some even say as Italy goes, so goes the EU.

THANK YOU, for translating the ‘writing on the wall’.  Your new nickname is Danielle. 🙂

So Mnuchin is a GS guy. I don’t like that at all … and Romney as SOS? … that would be totally non understandable

MM3, Maddog – concur, don’t like the Mnunchin pick at all. If he picks Romney for SOS it would be a huge blow to his supporters, I’m hoping he let Romney off easy last night but I don’t know. I favor Tulsi Gabbard personally.

AuGirl – really glad you’re back, it’s a tough job but someone has to keep that Farmboy in line…

and then there’s gold and the SM…ugh…at least silver looks like it’s trying to find a bottom

[soaring oil is inflationary…soaring oil is deflationary because consumers will spend less and business costs will rise depressing profits eye etc]

By Karolin Schaps and Amanda Cooper | LONDON

Oil prices jumped more than 7 percent on Wednesday as some of the world’s largest oil producers gathered in Vienna to agree on a production cut that could be bigger than expected.

Brent crude futures LCOc1 were up $3.33 at $49.71 per barrel by 1102 GMT (6:02 a.m. ET), on course for their biggest one-day move in nine months. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were $2.95 higher at $48.18 a barrel.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries started a meeting at 0900 GMT on Wednesday at its Vienna headquarters to discuss terms of a potential deal to cut production in an effort to prop up prices that have fallen by more than half since 2014 due to oversupply.

Needless to say never any mention of this in UK Press.

Agreed re Mnuchin doesn’t look good at all, why make life harder for yrself by appointing with all that baggage.

Yes it is loyalty…but he has a huge hill to climb, if he does get appointed…..and if the Donald goes with Romney as well, then he will be a 1 termer at best.

Yesterday Abdul Razak Ali Artan, a Somali refugee welcomed into the United States, posted a rant on Facebook against non-Muslims, got into a car, rammed into a group of people at Ohio State University where he was a student, then  went on a stabbing spree. Eleven people were injured before the terrorist was shot by a cop.

(Have you ever heard of a Christian or Jewish or Hindu stabber going on a stabbing spree? Yeah, me neither…)

Early reports were that it was an attacker with a gun. The left-wing media were so excited: they thought this was going to be another teachable moment about why guns need to be banned.

Then the uh-oh moment: The attack was not a shooting, but a car-and-knife attack, by a Muslim. So they stopped writing about it. It didn’t fit the narrative.

Look at what the university president said:

“We don’t know anything that would link this to any community. We certainly don’t have any evidence that would say that’s the case.”

Huh? He was Somali. He was Muslim. He had once said he wanted to kill one billion infidels. Those are the “links.”

This is a reason Trump won, in Ohio and elsewhere. Not just the problem of Muslim violence. But the problem of media and political and academia’s wilful blindness to it.

I really think it’s about time to split teams up on flights. I had a bad feeling since when I flew to PA 2013 about flying right now for a few years. Only flew once since then this year. I expected to see a number of crashes for some reason. I noticed there was two a year in some of those years.  I lost my sons Pediatrician in one on well deserved vacation then but think it was in Canary Islands in 1970s. Theirs taking off while one coming in. Someone gave the plane clearance that shouldn’t have.  He and his wife were killed. He was such a good doctor not like these commercial ones today. He even let people barter for medical care like old school too.  Found out later long time friend of my Ex mother was on that flight too also killed.

My son in law was really into that team. He was going pro once but got a serious knee injury but his friend made it. He followed that team so caused me to pay more attention to it to get autographed cards for him for gifts. Told him about it he was pretty shocked. He was born in Brazil where his parents were stationed. They would of stayed after service but his dad was allergic to the eucalyptus trees. That’s when I learned of a serious lung infection you can get from that as well as fungal. It’s good he had good military doctors. Funny one of his doctors didn’t want him to go to Calif to visit our grandson and his son. The bad air he mentioned lol Another good doctor lol
