Perhaps the Swiss have come to their senses? I can sure understand how pissed off their citizens were when they sold their phyz. Good luck getting that back now!

Maddog @ 6:15 Appreciate The Insight !

As always, I appreciate your views, especially on all things EU. Those ‘wiz kids’ should be looking smart with the returns so far this year in the PM market. One thing that I have a question on is why they ( banks ) would ask that their filings be redacted. Sounds strange to me ?

Swiss CB has huge stock holdings…they sold half their Gold and turned themselves into a hedge fund, punting the SM…….young wizz kids, who think Gold is rubbish

As long as the SM’s stay high, they are OK…but if they fall all hell will descend on them, as large numbers of Swiss are furious with them for selling the Gold and effectively punting with the money…recall there was a referendum a while ago to re-buy the Gold and all the great and good went mad to get a no vote…..the CB was on TV every day, saying Gold was no good……so this is a big departure….

The Bond Market

is operating on the “GREATER FOOL THEORY”  since the yield is zero ,the Price is at infinity and the only way to profit going in is you hope to find a GREATER FOOL than yourself to sell too.

Or swiss and norwegian central banks

Posted by eeos @ 23:42 on September 7, 2016

have done what most money managers suggest, placing 5% into PM stocks. It’s probably safe to surmise that if they  have $1B in PM stocks, they probably have $19B propping their general stock markets. laugh

I think you have some good suppositions there Farmboy. The Central Banks can’t find physical metals in size to buy and they know the PM ETFs have very little metal, so the only thing left is to buy the PM mining companies. So if we accept all this then tightness in supply would indicate that the rig is nearing it’s end. Fingers crossed my friend!

Have a great evening!

ipso facto @ 18:13 Great Heads Up Article

Posted by Farmboy @ 22:06 on September 7, 2016

Back in 1997 or so, the man known only as ‘Another’ made some pretty incredible forecasts for future events surrounding gold. One thing he said would be that Central Banks would become major buyers of gold. This was nearly complete lunacy since at the times the CB’s were only net sellers of their gold supplies. That is one prediction tonight that we have seen come true.

And why are the banks buying the paper gold? Is there now already too many dollars chasing the physical ? Is this another sign that we are nearing the end of the price fixing of the PM’s ? One can dream. Gather the ounces while ye may.

eeos @ 19:03 Good Question, And Then I Wonder…

Posted by Farmboy @ 21:49 on September 7, 2016

if they are just printing up the money why are they not buying the physical itself?  Cant find it? I wonder…??? And since they are still playing the paper game, why not ETF’s ? And are the banks buying for themselves, or buying for some of their large international clients that dont want the tax man in their respective countries getting their hands on the profits ?

I don’t follow GG too close but I think they’ve had operational problems, made some bad decisions etc. Looks like the Swiss are buying the biggest issues, the only ones with enough liquidity for the big bucks. We don’t have that problem. 😉

SLW should certainly be near the top.

Ipso…they have money in bad places IMHO

Posted by eeos @ 19:03 on September 7, 2016

GG for example. What’s wrong with this stock compared to NEM? It looks like it’s sick. SLW should be their top pick too, IMHO

Sounds like an idea whose time has come … a great improvement over the criminal scam which now exists. I guess we’ll see if the transparent intentions are realized or it’s all just a bunch of smoke.

Yep Spring run off is a good time to find gold in the streams.

Didn’t CA ban dredging in most creeks and rivers? Seems like I read something about that.

The futures blew past the 1346.10 target with ease, implying that an ABC pattern of greater magnitude, with a correspondingly higher target, is driving this rally. The one shown projects to 1430.80, about 5.6% above current levels. The futures tripped a theoretical buy signal to this number when they hit the green line today. However, the implied $3100 initial stop-loss is reason to look for other, less risky, ways to get aboard.

A old miner patient told me years ago there’s not much big finds left unless you dig really deep. Never know though. In the spring when the snow melts it can carry gold down the mountains. But at  the same time the bears are coming out of hybernarion ” hungry” and  the water is super cold.

True, which brings your question to mind. I think the nugget is real but is the “find” real, or just a promotion using a nugget from the past?? That would be my guess.
