DEBT BOMB!  financial commentary for the twenty first century!

When Mrs. Equiz and I listened to that item yesterday when it first appeared on SGT Report, for a fleeting moment I wondered if that opinion would be heard by a significant number of people in the United States, even if SGT is US-based.  So it strikes me as timely that you did re-post the item for US-based people on goldtentoasis to be alerted to.

This example rekindled my uncertainty about whether I have been on a dangerously narrow path in my time allocation in selectively browsing only a limited number of internet sources about the precious metals sector.  Several times each day I allocate time to view all postings on goldtentoasis and I at least look at all subject headings posted on SGT Report, but for the latter website I open only those links that seem relevant to my rather narrow focus.  In the interests of time, which is  the most precious commodity in my opinion, I have developed this rather narrow oasis and SGT focus on the “bigger picture” because my core time each day is reserved for the Canada-centric analyses and viewpoints that I feel are most useful for managing our portfolio.  Here I am referring to my key sources of opinion and analyses.  In no intended order of importance or priority they are:  Rob McEwen (McEwen Mining Ltd.);  Keith Neumeyer (First Majestic Silver Corp. and First Mining Finance); Eric Sprott (Sprott Asset Management); Donald Coxe (Coxe Advisors LLC); and, of course, Rob Kirby (Kirbyanalytics.com).

My focus on these five Canada-centric sources of opinions about the PM sector is what has made me wonder at times if I have developed too narrow a focus.  On balance, I think the analysts named above have provided valuable and usable source of information and opinion.  As long as I maintain faith that they are providing a useful focus, this approach is allowing me to avoid  most of the extraneous noise that comes from broader internet browsing.  For now, the five opinion sources named above, plus the links I learn about from daily browsing goldtentoasis and SGT Report,  is about all the external stimulus my mind and PM-focused portfolio needs.

So the US military military can use us as guinea pigs, without our knowledge or permission, any time they want. They can destroy our health or kill us if they deem it in their national interest. This goes back a long way. I know for a fact that the US military sprayed Canadian and US cities in the early fifties with  known carcinogens and lied to the mayors of those cities about the purpose of the sprays.

lol lol It could only happen to you. Or me but so far nothing. Don’t know if I would of hung on 14 times. Increasing math problems make me wonder if it was a progressive that invented it. Although I prefer calling them what they really are.. Regressives.  That is weird. Lol maybe they have 14 security points lol Have no clue.

I don’t mind increased security. I only mind the glitch in this uncoordinated authentication. I can see it if it was tied to the log in process. That is when it looks to be important…..but totally unnecessary after one is logged in IMO!! I’m gonna try Maya’s solution to see if it works for me…..but from now on it’s gonna be “three strikes and you’re out”. I’ll never again do it 14 times. LOL!!!

What I’d like is to hear from whoever is responsible for that authentication and their explanation for it and why it is not tied to the log-in process.

Besides all that I am getting tired of having to remove my shoes and socks over and over so I can come up with the right answers to their “higher math” problems……and sometimes Farmboy is not around to help me!! LOL!!!

I got a message from one of my phones that someone was trying to access one of my emails with a device. What ever that means. It’s a shell email only used for any business.  After having one email hacked which was blocked but I can’t use it either had to use another  so made a exta one so not too worried about it but now shell one and now has happened more than once. Maybe that’s why they are increasing security.

Next time you get the ‘authentication’ screen… try ignore the top part (“request”) and just do the addition part at the bottom and push that button.   That works for me.     It seems to be protection from ‘non-trusted’ internet sources.  They must have a reference list of spammers and ‘suspect’ sources.   One of these is the TOR network that I use for anonymity.  If I post from an ‘open’ ISP, I need no authentication.   When I post from TOR network, I get the authentication at log-in.  (I log in every time… I do not stay logged in.)

So I suspect that the anti-spam guardians at the gate do not like your satellite ISP for some reason…

I have found that rarely, if I take a long time to compose a post, or linger on that page with no action, it will ask me to authenticate again when I hit the ‘publish’ button.  So there seems to be a ‘timeout’ function on the authentication also.

Try just doing the math portion at the bottom to authenticate… it’s quicker.

I don’t think the problem has anything to do with the Oasis or with Weston. I think is is a glitch between my satellite ISP and whoever Oasis is now using as a host. As far as I am concerned that authentication is a JOKE anyway and must have been created by a junior high student in his basement(lol). FYI I have no problem staying logged onto the Oasis…..and of course am always logged in when I try to make a post…..so that authentication is coming from whoever hosts the Oasis and is not even coordinated with the Oasis log in, which is the time one would expect to encounter it. And then after going through the process of authentication there is that additional step of “Are you sure you want to do this?”, and having to answer “Please”(and thank you for the additional harassment) for this ridiculous unnecessary step is a little nettling because I am not feeling like saying please at that point (lol).

I’m sorry you are having problems posting, they seem to be limited to either your connection or system in some way.

Weston is on top of this site, and we do everything we can to make sure it is functioning properly and user friendly.

And I was not exaggerating. It took 14 #%$%^@$%^ times going through that authentication process before I was successful, each time having to enter my email address, then answer the math question, then say I was sure I wanted to do it, then clicking on my saved post which would come back up, then pushing the post button, then getting bounced back to the authentication and having to repeat the whole process again, and again,  and again….14 times!!

Ipso, 14 Authentication attempts before I could post this. Maybe it is my satellite service but this is over the top ridiculous. I would have stopped trying but I just wanted to see how many attempts it would actually take to make the post. Besides, winners never quit and quitters never win……but I won’t waste my time again.
