How do I take a picture from an email and copy it so I can post it here?? I have a picture of a lovely lady I would like to help with her campaign but showing her picture is the only thing that would be meaningful. TIA!!
IPSO this is where VOY posters went while they were down
http://www.voy.com/216669/ its an old KITCO site ..
Its always good to have a backup place to meet.
I know years ago when Goldtent had problems someone gave us an alternate site ,I forget his name ,but he subsequently lost all his gold money ..I felt so bad for him ,It helped me a lot…I would have taken a collection for him to give him a grubstake ,but I dont know where he went ! Sometimes when you are hit by tragedy ,anyone that sends you a lifeline is so much appreciated.. I dont know if a grubstake would have helped but it would have been gratifing that anyone cared. I cant recall his moniker ..
Do NOT try LINUX on something you depend on..
LEARN first its a BIG step !
I realized I wasent clear enough so I modified it ….Do not experiment with something you depend on..
Its amazing how many time I posted something and someone had a completely different take on what I said then what I meant….especially true with those from the left side hehe ….Ill say no more …not to offend.
Ororeef @ 21:54 Thanks!!
Sounds like good advice, and the XP is one of those that no longer matters. Still, it was a favorite and would be good to get it operational again. As I have extra time I’ll give it a go. Thanks again!!
Are you also saying not to try installing Linux on the Windows 7 if I am depending on it?? Because I am at least for now.
edit: Either you changed what you originally posted or I totally misread it the first time I read it. Whatever!! Okay I will not mess with the Windows 7 at least while I am depending on it. Thanks again.
IPSO was it you that asked about VOY ? looks like we werent the only ones with server problems…VOY is a GIANT
this one is BACK on LINE ..its always been a source of info & entertainment to me …

Your win xp sounds like a good candidate for a Linux version…I use Ubuntu 14 on my old windows xp desk top ..I installed an earlier version ubuntu 10 if i recall correctly on my wifes win xp I think it was …If you have nothing to lose on any computer you dont use any more why not experiment installing a Ubuntu version on it.The latest versions wouldent work on the old xp ,so simply try whatever version of Ubuntu linux will install …It will tell you itself if it can install it. DONT experiment with any computer you depend on.. start with something so out of date if something goes wrong it dont matter..Ubuntu self installs usually. Its best to learn on an old computer thats become useless to you.
If its currently useless to you thats what you want to experment with.
I cannot help you because there are so many variables ….Just dont use anything you depend on…
If you are successful it can give you years of extended life for an old computer that microsoft wont support anymore ….
If win 7 is your latest version..I would NOT fool with that although Im sure it can be converted ,but you can be expected to lose everything on it… REPEAT I would not experiment with anything I depend on ,,another reason you will not be able to re install windows …theres no going back !
POP UP BLOCKERS
First thing is to identify your Browser Usually Firefox ,Chrome or Edge (microsoft)…then do a search for pop-up blocker for that Browser in Google or whatever your search engine is ..install the pop-up blocker.I use a Firefox Browser with Ubuntu 14 and in Preferences I choose either pop ups on or off,or ASK..
If it starts doing something weird you can uninstall it or not activate it ….in Linux go to “preferences” it will ask if you want to “activate”,block”,always ask” depending on the version….The other Browsers should have something similar .in thier “add ons” that gives you some options for turning on or off the pop up blocker ..

Gold Train

And so the week begins with a slam down. Stay onboard… we have mountains yet to climb with the Gold Train.

Volatility will be the rule this week
Look at the drop at the open. Gold silver and the US $ down. Gold hit for near 18 bucks now down 9. Wow. Gonna be an interesting week IMO. Hoping we finish somewhere near 1325 and 18 at weeks end. The intraday activity should shiver our timbers though.
Happy Fathers Day
Happy Fathers day to all dads and step dads. For the good days and bad you were there or in this case below initiated into the good, the bad, and the ugly of parenthood.

Seattle employees ask for REDUCED hours so that “jacked-up” minimum wage won’t cost them subsidized housing: Gee, who could have seen this coming…
This proves you can’t fix “Stupid”
Seattle employees ask for REDUCED hours so that “jacked-up” minimum wage won’t cost them subsidized housing: Gee, who could have seen this coming…
Now this is downright funny. They scream for a higher minimum wage, then when they get it they complain because they make too much money to qualify for the free stuff, go figure.
JULY 8, 2015 By jacking up minimum wage, Seattle has provided a valuable lesson in liberal economics. The plan has now backfired. Nora Gibson, executive director of Full Life Care, told KIRO 7 she saw a sudden reaction from workers when Seattle’s phased minimum-wage ordinance took effect in April, bringing minimum wage to $11 an hour. She said anecdotally, some people feared they would lose their subsidized housing so they have asked that their work hours be reduced to remain eligible for all government subsidies.
It doesn’t stop at $11/hour.
The law puts it up to $15 starting January 1, 2017. They will have to reduce their work hours even more to remain eligible for handouts.
Good thing the minimum wage wasn’t raised even higher, most would not work at all, they prefer to be spoon fed and remain on the government plantation.
Remember free market capitalism? Under that system, the harder and smarter you worked, the higher your standard of living. But that was found to result in income inequality, so now we have a system where wealth is bestowed by bureaucrats, and working harder doesn’t always make sense.

Ororeef @ 15:17…Operating systems
I know nothing about the different operating systems but I have been resisting installing Windows 10 as long as possible on my Windows 7 machine. I also have a Windows XP laptop that cannot be upgraded to Windows 10 and is no longer supported by Microsoft. It has become increasing useless so I seldom even open it any more but it has mega hard drive and memory and in it’s day was a $3600 machine.
Do you know if both of these machines (XP and 7) can be converted to Linux? I’d appreciate some knowledgeable help and direction from anyone who knows. Thanks!
POP UPS
You should be able to block POP UPS …even if and unless Microsoft is making money on them ..they are getting desperate … The sites I posted never had pop ups before ….Its always about the money !
There are differences in operating systems
All kinds of strange things happen since we moved..I havent been able to post charts ,so I tried posting the Web site and some of you guys get POP UPS and I DONT GET THEM ! BUt MY operating system automatically blocks them for me…sorry if others get problems because of it… seems like LINUX and windows have a lots of differences ..! Its strange because I had none of these problems before we moved and neither did all of you ! as I had posted them before ..so its more than the difference in operating systems thats going on..!
It looks to me like Microsoft and Linux are fighting there is nothing more secure than linux ..Microsoft was the culprit since they have always mixed the programs with the operating system to force clients to stay with them. Their money maker is the operating system ..Linux separates the operating system and in fact requires passwords to get access to it.So nothing can be surreptitiously included. Linux is free so there is NO conflict of interest ..not so with Microsoft ! and their revenues are dropping !
More work to do ..

I’m getting a pop up from Ororeef’s links as well … and I never even clicked on them
Ororeef …. maybe you could just post the chart instead of the links. Those pop ups are mega annoying!

Ororeefs second post is asking for my user id and password. Microsoft edge says this will be sent on non secure basis.
