Impact’s done well since the start of the year. I think I first bought them around $1.50 and still have those shares. That was many moons ago.

Yes, laggards that should catch up.  Or, I suppose, favorites that are fairly priced and would be expected to rise well as precious does.

“Down”

You mean like lagging shares which should catch up?

Yesterday as I said I sold my Torex on account of their reverse split … then I bought AKG, NGD and HYLKF (just a few bucks spec play)

I think my favorite shares are those which are going up fastest. Emoji_1F601

PS NGD has been lagging a bit. Probably on account of their hedging which runs through the end of the year.

Bubble News From The Nosebleed Section

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:46 on June 15, 2016

snip

In the passages below, short-seller Dave Kranzler has captured the folly of this deal about as cogently as is possible:

MSFT’s valuation is in and of itself is insane given it’s debt-addled balance sheet and deteriorating business model. Microsoft Windows 8 was a total abortion and Windows 10 is not much better. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together uses the bare bones Windows 7 and the freeware Linux-based Microsoft surrogate software, which can be downloaded for free (or a gratis donation) and is superior to MSFT’s crap (see OpenOffice.org, for instance).

Now Microsoft has decided to layer nuclear waste on top of its own toxicity by acquiring Linked-In for over $26 billion. This is a tragic, if not catastrophic, use of shareholder cash……

Microsoft’s acquisition of LNKD is about as idiotic as it would be to try and convince someone that the sun rises in the west and sets in east. If anything, this deal is emblematic of an American systemic Ponzi scheme that has gone “off the rails.”

Linked-In is nothing more than a glorified jobs networking bulletin board. Sure, as the system continues to unravel and more “business services” people lose their jobs, there might be a big jump in “clicks and eyeballs” on Linked-In. But this will be out of desperation trying to find anyone on the Linked-In board who might offer a ray of hope for employment. But no one will spend their unemployment check on LNKD’s idiotic premium services. That will be money much better spent on whiskey and weed, which is exactly what MSFT’s upper management and board of directors must be ingesting to have come up with this idea. MSFT is my lowest risk short-sell idea of the year….

Oh, yes, Jim Cramer has been pounding the table hard in favor of the deal. The Bear Stearns moment must be close at hand.

George Soros making big bets on gold

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:21 on June 15, 2016

This week George Soros once again came out with his very large directional “bets” for the S&P 500 and for gold and, needless to say, Mr. Soros is once again shorting the S&P and buying gold and gold miners, joining Ray Dalio, Stanley Druckenmiller and Michael Ballanger (just kidding) in a decidedly unpopular stance. Carl Icahn came out in agreement during a CNBC interview this week that left the interviewer near-speechless and groveling in the mud of anti-Wall Street rhetoric.

In the meantime, some of the smartest investors I know are SOOOO bullish on gold that they are buying huge baskets of penny explorers under a nickel because of the leverage contained when the public finally decides to re-allocate to include gold (and mining stocks). A fund manager I know said to me, “Must be the top!” in reference to this, but it really can’t be the top after a five-month rally representing the largest recorded quarterly advance in mining shares since recordkeeping began.

Damascus says German special forces in Syria, Germany denies

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:09 on June 15, 2016

The Syrian government said on Wednesday that German special forces were present, alongside French and American military personnel, in northern Syria, an accusation denied by Germany.

Syrian state media said the government strongly condemned the presence of French and German forces in Ain al-Arab, also known as Kobani, and Manbij.

“Syria … considers it explicit and unjustified aggression towards (Syria’s) sovereignty and independence,” state news agency SANA quoted the foreign ministry as saying.

The U.S.-backed Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) are staging an offensive against Islamic State near Manbij, while Kobani is under the control of the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia, part of the SDF.

As far as the FBI what do you expect with Obama being ” gag” chief.

Listen to this tape by a DHS whistleblower. He tells how they are using civil rights as away to disable the Justice system, the border, and enabling terrorism. We see this with his childish rants of discrimination and unwillingness to call it Islamic terrorism. He tells how the OBAMA admin “deleted the lists of terrorist,” how he enables Islam to put it mildly, how he and Hillary have their fingerprints in other countries including BOTH forcing Kenya to rewrite their constitution ” like they’re tryimg here” to include Shaira” but she wanting women’s vote. How he could of stopped two Attacks including Orlando but O administration deleted the info. Espionage comes to mind, how they stopped a investigation of terrorist and hired them. If this isn’t treason to aid terrorists what is?

This is something everyone should listen to.
