Canada to give aboriginals more say on resource projects- minister

OTTAWA, Dec 7 (Reuters) – Canada will give aboriginal groups more say in discussions over natural resource projects located on their territory, which should help pave the way for major pipelines and mines, the country’s new energy minister said on Monday.
The Liberal government, which took power last month, had pledged to toughen environmental assessments that critics said had been weakened under the former Conservative government.
Asked whether the new assessment process meant aboriginal interests could block development of a pipeline, Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr declined to give a direct response.
“We will consult leaders, we will consult communities, we will seek consensus,” he said in an interview.
Low prices for oil and other commodities have hammered Canada’s natural resource sector, which is shedding jobs.
The approval of at least two proposed pipelines – TransCanada Corp’s Energy East and the expansion of Kinder Morgan Inc’s Trans Mountain Pipeline – has been bogged down by protests, with aboriginal groups saying they have been marginalized by current rules for assessing projects.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calf. (INTELLIHUB) â A few interesting details have surfaced regarding Wednesdayâs mass shooting dubbed âterror attackâ which killed 14 and injured 17 others. One of the most interesting comes from an eyewitness.
We now know that ATF investigators recovered police issued firearms from the alleged shooters. This key detail was leaked by 2016 GOP Presidential Candidate Carly Fiorina during a press interview after she had overheard a newsroom report that doesnât fit the official narrative.
We also know that active shooter drills actually took place near the crime scene just days before and possibly even on the same day of the mass shooting as reported by Mac Slavo.
Additionally details from an eyewitness, who came forth on the day of the shooting, may have been overlooked by investigators and suggest that there were actually âthree white shootersâ instead of the radicalized husband and wife natural-born killer team portrayed in some mainline reports.
The witness, Sally Abdelmageed, worked at Inland Medical Center where the attack took place and saw it all unfold firsthand. Itâs also important to note that Abdelmageed is likely not lying and that this quite possibly might be the most accurate eyewitness account publicized to date. After all how can two shooters, a man and a petite woman, be mistaken for three white military men with athletic builds?
In a phone interview with CBS Abdelmageed explained:
âI heard shots fired and it was from you know an automatic weapon. [âŚ] very unusual. Why would we hear shots? As we looked out the window a second set of shots goes off [âŚ] and we saw a man fall to the floor. Then we just looked and we saw three men dressed in all black, military attire, with vests on they were holding assault rifles. As soon as they opened up the doors to building three [âŚ] one of them [âŚ] started to shoot into the room.â
When asked what the gunman that shot into the room looked like the eyewitness replied:
âI couldnât see a face, he had a black hat on [âŚ] black cargo pants, the kind with the big puffy pockets on the side [âŚ] long sleeve shirt [âŚ] gloves [âŚhuge assault riffle [âŚ] six magazines [âŚ] I just saw three dressed exactly the sameâ.
âYou are certain you saw three men,â the newscaster asked Abdelmageed.
âYes,â said Abdelmageed.
âIt looked like their skin color was white. They look like they were athletic build and they appeared to be tall.â
In a shill-like manner the CBS reporter responded, âAnd of course we just learned that one suspect was a woman.â
To boot it also appears as if the suspects legal team believes their clients may have been made out by authorities and/or the media to be patsies further allowing for gun control narratives to be pushed onto the public.
The suspects legal team also questions the validity of the Sandy Hook shooting which some believe never took place and may have been a live active shooter drill, usingcrisis actors, perpetuated by the establishment media as a âmass shootingâ as coveredheavily by Intellihub in the past.
âPresident Barack Obama will make a rare primetime address to the nation Sunday laying out how he will keep Americans safe and defeat the Islamic State group, days after 14 people were shot dead in California,â AFP reports.

Along with the upward pressure less not forget the pressure to raise interest rates. We will be heading into interesting times while they are just creating more problems in the Mid East.
